Police released video of three men who killed a South Jersey bakery owner, saying they hoped suspects can be identified by their distinctive hoodie sweatshirts.
Oscar Medina Hernandez, 29, was shot Oct. 14 during a bungled robbery at Alex’s Bakery and Food Store in Woodlynne. The robbers were unable to open the cash register and left empty-handed, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
In the videotape, the shooter is wearing a black hoodie. One of the other men is wearing what appears to be an Ed Hardy hoodie made by a clothing manufacturer using tattoo designs, and the other is in a hoodie with black and white stripes.
“They’re distinctive, they’re not just your normal black hoodie,” said Camden County Prosecutor Warren Faulk. “Somebody in the community is going to recognize that and hopefully make a connection.”
Faulk said Medina Hernandez, a father of two, was part of “a family of immigrants who had worked hard to achieve the American dream, and were well on their way to doing so before this senseless act occurred.”
Salvador Ramos, his brother-in-law, said the body was to be flown back to Mexico for burial in his hometown, Puebla.
